The time was 4:34 pm on Monday, June 16th. All MISUMI employees were happily bustling away at their desks awaiting quitting time. It was the first sunny, 90 degree day we’d seen since the polar vortex had swept in and wreaked havoc on us causing an epidemic of Vitamin D deficiencies through MISUMI land. We were just about ready to call it a night when out of nowhere we received the following companywide email alerting us to a very perilous situation in our midst:
There is a large somewhat lost snapping turtle in the north parking lot just west of the entrance. We think he is trying to make his way to the retention pond. I’m told he has been crawling that way stopping under the cars. Please be careful and look under and around your car before you pull out. The owner of the car is aware the turtle is under it.
